POSE TWELVE

Final Rest

(Savasana)

This is the foundation of all poses in Ready to Heal. Always start here, and return to the pose as you need throughout your practice.

Always start and finish in Reclined Mountain Pose.

A

Surrender

Lie flat on your back with your legs slightly apart and your arms resting at your sides.

Now, let go. Allow your whole body to release and return to ease.

Soften your toes, ankles, shins, knees, and thighs.

Let your pelvis release.

Feel your belly naturally rise and sink with each breath.

Soften your shoulders, collar bones, and ribs.

Release your elbows, wrists and feel the natural curl of the fingers and the edges of the fingertips.

B

Release

Soften your jaw, teeth and tongue.

Let go of all holding.

Let the skin of your nasal passage melt toward the ears.

Sink your eyes deep into their sockets.

Soften the right brain. Soften the left brain.

Let your entire brain melt to the back of the skull.

And just float, holding on to nothing.

Stay here as long as possible, conscious and in this meditative state.
